Win on ChatGPT Ads
Early reflections on how OpenAI Ads work and the forces that will decide who wins
Hi! I’m a founding engineer at Laurence (YC W26). We use hedge-fund math to automate advertising on Amazon. Previously, I studied Computer Science at Cornell and Mathematics at Oxford, with a focus on machine learning and reinforcement learning.
Before Laurence, I was an Associate at BCG. I realized pretty quickly that I didn’t want to spend my time advising from the sidelines. I wanted to build, own outcomes, and work on more mathy problems (yeah, I missed it).
I grew up in Alsace (France) and have lived in Singapore, London, and Boston. Football (soccer) has always been a constant, from captaining Cornell Mundial FC to playing on the Oxford University 'Blues' Varsity team. I’m also into basketball, poker, chess, travel, and books.

Startups win by building tight feedback loops that reveal direction early, then scaling what actually works.
In a world where algorithms are commoditized, the only durable moat is proprietary data — and most founders aren't thinking about it early enough.
